Job DescriptionWe are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join our secondary department.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for IGCSE and A-Level English courses in line with the British curriculum.Develop students’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening to achieve academic success.Set and mark assignments, coursework, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support student development.Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing intervention strategies as needed.Support students’ personal and academic growth through mentoring and guidance.Maintain high standards of classroom management and a positive learning environment.Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work, resources, and extracurricular activities.Participate in department meetings, professional development, and school events.Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in British education.SkillsInnovative and creative approach to teaching literature and language.Experience integrating technology and digital tools into lessons.Passion for extracurricular activities such as debating, drama, or creative writing.Proven experience teaching IGCSE and A-Level English within the British curriculum.Strong classroom management and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.GEMS Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its students and staff.
