This role will take ownership of dry utilities design from concept through IFC, provide technical leadership to project teams, and support bid and business development activities. The role requires strong technical depth, authority interface experience, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary coordination across large‑scale programs.Key responsibilitiesLead the design and delivery of dry utilities systems, including MV, LV, substations, street lighting, telecom, and associated infrastructureManage dry utilities scope from concept, master planning, detailed design, IFC, and construction supportPrepare and review design reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical submissionsDevelop power demand studies, utility corridors, ROW requirements, and coordination layoutsInterface with local authorities and utility providers to secure approvals and complianceProvide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and designers within the teamCoordinate closely with roads, transport, landscape, buildings, and other infrastructure disciplinesSupport bid and proposal activities, including methodologies, assumptions, exclusions, and technical inputsSupport site teams during construction to resolve technical queries and ensure design intent is achievedSkills and experienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 15 years of relevant experience in dry utilities design and infrastructure projectsStrong experience delivering dry utilities on large‑scale infrastructure, urban, or mixed‑use developmentsProven capability in MV and LV networks, substations, street lighting, and telecom coordinationSolid experience with authority approvals and utility coordination in the Middle EastStrong knowledge of international and local standards and regulationsExperience leading teams and managing technical deliverables across multiple projectsExposure to bid support and technical proposal developmentProficiency in relevant engineering tools such as ETAP, Dialux, and design coordination platformsWhy Join UsAt Robert Bird Group, we bring together talent, teamwork, innovation, and a dynamic workplace to solve complex challenges creatively and collaboratively.
