Director, Legal Counsel, Gulf RegionGartner is currently seeking a Director, Legal Counsel to lead commercial support for our Gulf region, drafting and negotiating various types of contracts and commercial agreements, including framework and main service agreements, service orders and statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, etc. The Director, Legal Counsel will also manage other attorneys working in the Gulf region.Key ResponsibilitiesRead, analyze, assess, and communicate guidance related to framework and main service agreements, service orders and statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, etc.Review, negotiate as needed, and ultimately approve Contracts, Purchase Orders and ModificationsManage a small team, inclusive of work assignment, performance management, and coaching and developmentAnswer inquiries from and propose problem resolution for Accounts Receivables issues or similarInterface/dialog with clients (at sales request) to discuss potential solutions and/or further explain positionsWork in partnership with internal stakeholders to refine and improve processes as neededWhen requested, provide support to other Legal & Compliance teams in support of regional legal matters (example: Corporate Secretary work, privacy and compliance tasks, etc.)Develop and hold training sessions for other internal teams as neededWho you areMotivated, high-potential performer, with demonstrated ability to influence and lead.Able to support sales teams in a positive manner that ensures ethically and legally compliant contracting and business practices while supporting commercial results.Comfortable navigating differing and potentially conflicting demands from multiple constituencies to reach viable solutions.Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who can operate effectively in highly collaborative environmentsAble to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change.Teachable and embracing of best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement for both self and teamRole QualificationsLaw degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent) from an accredited university.Qualified lawyer (Bar admission or equivalent) in a Middle Eastern jurisdiction or a recognized international jurisdiction.Written and verbal fluency in English and ArabicValid passport and no travel restrictionsEight to ten years or more of related experience in supporting sales teams with commercial and transactional legal work and negotiations in a fast-paced and dynamic business environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills, inclusive of stakeholder managementAbility to work in highly collaborative team environments and find “win-win” solutionsStrong process management skills with the ability to improve process effectiveness for team and stakeholders year over yearStrong time management and prioritization skills; ability to meet deadlines under pressureStrong attention to detailKnowledge and experience in the use of MS Office Suite and Salesforces strongly preferredWhat we offerIn addition to an outstanding work environment with rapid advancement potential, Gartner associates enjoy exceptional compensation and benefits, including:An upbeat, positive culture.
