The role plays a key part in strengthening technical capability, operational resilience, and continuity within the network function. By providing depth of expertise and leadership coverage, the position reduces single‑point dependency and supports effective succession planning. It ensures the organisation is well positioned to manage a growing and increasingly complex portfolio, maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient network performance as scale and operational demands continue to increase.What You’ll DriveSupport leadership, planning, and delivery of wastewater network and pumping station infrastructure.Lead major capital and infrastructure projects across the full lifecyclePlanning and concept developmentDesign and technical reviewTendering and contractor procurementConstruction, testing, commissioning, and handoverProvide Senior Technical Oversight AcrossGravity sewersRising mainsPumping stationsUrban infrastructure interfaces (roads, utilities, third‑party assets)Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Integrate operational, maintenance, and long‑term asset performance considerations into project delivery. Manage and coordinate contractors, consultants, and suppliers.Act As Senior Technical Interface WithMunicipalities and regulatorsGovernment agenciesContractors and suppliersOperations & Maintenance partnersContribute to governance, quality assurance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
