Job Description

Role PurposeThe role involves ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, products meet required quality standards, and all resources — manpower, materials, and equipment — are utilized effectively. The Deputy Factory Manager will provide key support to the Factory Manager, helping drive productivity, safety, and continuous improvement across all production lines.Key Accountabilities & ActivitiesFactory Operations ManagementOversee day‑to‑day factory operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.Support the Factory Manager in developing and implementing operational strategies to achieve production and quality objectives.Monitor production output, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to maintain efficiency.Production Planning & CoordinationPlan, organize, and coordinate production activities to meet order requirements, specifications, and delivery timelines.Work closely with the planning and procurement teams to ensure availability of raw materials and production resources.Balance workloads across production departments to optimize utilization of labor and equipment.Quality Control & ComplianceEnsure products comply with required standards, specifications, and customer expectations.Supervise quality assurance procedures and address quality issues promptly.Promote compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations throughout factory operations.Team Leadership & Performance ManagementLead and motivate the production team to achieve operational excellence.Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to staff, promoting teamwork and accountability.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality across the factory floor.Equipment & Maintenance OversightSupervise maintenance and repair activities for production machinery and tools.Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.Ensure proper documentation and reporting of maintenance activities.Process Improvement & Cost OptimizationIdentify opportunities for process enhancement and cost reduction while maintaining product quality.Implement lean manufacturing practices and efficiency initiatives.Support automation, technology adoption, and system improvements within production lines.Job SpecificationsKnowledge / SkillsProven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and related engineering design software.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.Commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Education / CertificationsBachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.ExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience in managing wood and metal furniture production.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and production techniques in wood, metal, and plastic furniture.#J-18808-Ljbffr
