About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database infrastructure, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security. You will work closely with development and operations teams to optimize relational and NoSQL databases, leverage AWS database services, and implement monitoring solutions with Datadog, New Relic, and Prometheus.Responsibilities:Administer and maintain relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL systems in AWS environmentsPerform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planningImplement, monitor, and troubleshoot database health and performance using Datadog, New Relic, and PrometheusDesign and execute backup, recovery, and high-availability strategiesCollaborate with developers and DevOps teams on schema design, data modeling, and deployment automationDevelop and maintain SQL scripts for automation, reporting, and data migrationsEnsure database security, compliance, and best practices are followedDocument database configurations, procedures, and incident resolutionsSkillsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Database AdministratorExpertise in relational database management systems: PostgreSQL and MySQLHands‑on experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)Strong proficiency with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB)Advanced SQL scripting skills for automation and data manipulationExperience with monitoring and observability tools: Datadog, New Relic, PrometheusSolid understanding of backup, recovery, high availability, and security best practicesPreferred Qualifications:AWS Certified Database – Specialty or equivalent certificationExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AnsibleFamiliarity with additional relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automationExposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skillsFluency in English; Arabic language skills a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
