OverviewApply nowDate: 27 Jan 2026Location: Sharjah, AECompany: University Hospital SharjahPosition Summary The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and improving security controls to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure, applications, and data against cyber threats. The role ensures compliance with security standards, supports incident response, and continuously strengthens the organization’s security posture.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions across networks, systems, endpoints, and cloud platformsMonitor security alerts and investigate suspicious activities using SIEM and security toolsPerform vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and remediation trackingLead and support incident response activities, including root cause analysis and reportingImplement and manage identity and access controls (IAM, MFA, PAM)Secure servers, endpoints, virtualization, VDI and IOT environmentsResponsibilities (continued)Support cloud security configurations and posture managementEnsure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirementsDevelop and maintain security policies, procedures, and technical documentationCollaborate with IT, application, and business teams to embed security by designStay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologiesConfigure and manage firewalls, switches, routers, access points and NAC technologiesManage network-related hardware and software upgrades, patching, and maintenanceManaging Avaya Unified communication systemsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldProfessional cybersecurity certifications (preferred): CEH, Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Azure/AWS SecurityRelevant training or hands-on security engineering experience3–7 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT security rolesHands-on experience with enterprise security tools and platformsExperience in regulated environments (Healthcare, Government, Finance) is an advantage#J-18808-Ljbffr
