We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a strong background in building and scaling cryptocurrency exchanges and high-performance financial systems. The CTO will lead the company’s technology strategy, oversee platform architecture, and ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and compliant trading infrastructure.This role requires deep expertise in blockchain technologies, low-latency trading systems, and a strong understanding of regulatory and security challenges in the crypto space.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology LeadershipDefine and execute the company’s technical vision and roadmap aligned with business goalsLead, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams (backend, frontend, DevOps, security)Establish best practices in software development, architecture, and deploymentDesign and oversee development of high-performance crypto exchange platforms (spot, margin, derivatives)Build low-latency, high-throughput matching engines and order management systemsEnsure system scalability, reliability, and uptime (99.99%+)Security & ComplianceImplement robust security frameworks including cold/hot wallet management, key custody, and encryptionEnsure compliance with global regulatory standards (KYC/AML, FATF guidelines, etc.)Lead incident response, risk mitigation, and continuous security auditsBlockchain & IntegrationsOversee integration with multiple blockchains (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, L2s)Manage wallet infrastructure, transaction monitoring, and on-chain operationsEvaluate and integrate new blockchain technologies and protocolsInfrastructure & DevOpsBuild scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and disaster recovery plansOptimize system performance and cost efficiencyStakeholder CollaborationWork closely with Product, Compliance, and Executive teamsTranslate business requirements into technical solutionsCommunicate technical strategy to non-technical stakeholders and investorsRequired Qualifications10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership rolesProven experience building or scaling a cryptocurrency exchange or trading platformStrong knowledge of matching engines, order books, and trading systemsExperience with blockchain technologies (Ethereum, Bitcoin, smart contracts)Deep understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, and microservicesStrong knowledge of security best practices in fintech/crypto environmentsExperience with high-availability, low-latency systemsSalary expectations: 75-95,000 AED per month + medical + visa + flightsPlease send CV's to david@therigrecruitment.com#J-18808-Ljbffr
