With a local network to deploy resources safely and meet customer needs, SPIE Global Services Energy employs 5,000 people serving oil, gas and renewable energies to improve technical performance, energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.Area of activity: Mechanical, HVAC and Electrical Services.PositionJob title: CSU Mechanical Lead M/FContract type: Fixed-term-contractContractual hours: Full timeContract duration: 1 YearLocationHome Office – Abu Dhabi (Location: In Yard)Job DescriptionCoordinate technical issues resolution.Retain Completions Technical Lead on all engineering related issues.Interface with PE & PMT for major commercial & PM decisions.Manage engineering, quality, construction (MC) and procurement interfaces.Monitor design and fabrication progress of process equipment packages.Participate in development of the TCPs.Participate in performance tests for major equipment.Interfacing with subcontractors’ project management to ensure all critical commercial and technical issues are addressed (components not passing quality; specification deviations; inspection reports).Provide engineering technical support of planning efforts for mechanical completion and commissioning activities in vendor shops, fabrication yard, and site.Review and approval of DCNs & FCRs.Assist in determining testing criteria for FATs for major pieces of equipment to ensure full testing to international standards and full documentation receipt, with FAT punch list items recorded in the SYSTEMS Completion Database.Lead efforts to develop SITE PERFORMANCE TEST procedures and criteria.Participate in generation of PROJECT SYSTEMS Completion Schedule for all project phases.Participate in SYSTEMS Completion (SC) Workshops to align stakeholders on requirements for SC acceptance at project milestones.Generate full Step by Step Dynamic COMMISSIONING Procedures on SYSTEMS allocated during design.Manage procurement of all commissioning and start-up spares, first-fills, special tools and equipment to ensure availability on site for execution.Develop SYSTEMS Completions VENDOR Support Plan for related SYSTEMS.Site LocationIn Yard: Technical oversight during fabrication, mechanical completion, and commissioning activities.Interface with engineering management on issues such as shop fabrication design change requests, inspection reports, quality, RFIs, specification deviations, and P&ID changes.Interface with Discipline SYSTEM Owners to prioritize completion of related SYSTEMS.Ensure quality, accuracy and integrity of all SYSTEM issues including agreement on changes and close-out verifications.Interface with construction group to allocate MECHANICAL COMPLETION check sheets to each item of equipment to be inspected.Ensure adherence to commissioning procedures and successful SYSTEM walk downs.Profile / QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with a minimum 15 years of oil & gas industry experience, including at least 5 years in a lead position.Fluent in English.Working at SPIESalary and other benefits.Candidate criteriaMinimum level of experience: 10 years or more.Required authorisationsExtensive experience with water injection commissioning, modular projects and brownfield projects.Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.LanguagesEnglish (C-Professional working proficiency).#J-18808-Ljbffr
