Job Description

WSP Earth and Environment team is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant with experience in Environmental Supervision, Environmental Audits, and Environmental Management Systems services to join our growing Earth and Environment Team. The role is Project-based, you will be based on-site in a remote area in KSA.ResponsibilitiesUndertake environmental audits and inspections and provide support and guidance to contractors on site to achieve compliance against the Project's environmental requirementsPrepare environmental monitoring and audit reportsRegularly review and update the environmental management system and propose corrective actions as neededOversee the implementation of environmental management systemsReview and approve Construction and Social Environmental Management Plans (CESMPs), Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) reports, and other environmental studies as neededUndertake environmental reconnaissance surveys and pre-construction site assessmentsReview weekly and monthly environmental reports from the contractorsReport environmental incidents on site, undertake necessary investigation and reporting, and follow up on corrective actions and plansDevelop and implement a project-specific communication strategyImplement environmental awareness campaigns and conduct environmental training as necessaryQualificationsBSc and MSc degree qualified in a relevant environmental or engineering discipline.10+ years’ experience working in environmental supervisionExtensive experience working with environmental management systems, preferably ISO 14001 certifiedAbility to work across multiple disciplines and a flexible mindset to working.Experience in providing technical alternatives and solutions to technical clarifications and solutions to the clients.Significant proofing, editing and report collation experience.Excellent written English and verbal communication, presentation and organisational skills.Robust project management, time management and client management skills.Collaborative mindset and outcome driven working method.Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
