<div><h3>Communications Assistant (Arabic-English speaking)</h3><p>This is a unique opportunity for an early-career communications assistant looking to build hands-on experience managing social media and digital content creation on human rights issues in the MENA region.</p><p>The role requires autonomy, creativity and adaptability, and a passion for creating impactful messages to advocate for the respect of<b>human rights</b>in the MENA.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><p><b>Social media management:</b>Create, schedule and publish social media content across platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn); version content for different formats (stories, Reels, carousels); draft clear and engaging content in Arabic and English (and desirably French); monitor and grow engagement with online audiences.</p><p><b>Website management:</b>Regularly update our website with victims’ profiles, press releases, articles, legal resources and reports; ensure all pages are up to date; work closely with the team to ensure website content reflects our legal advocacy work.</p><p><b>Content production and translation support:</b>Assist with the production of communications materials including newsletters, articles, profiles of victims and survivors, and our annual report; coordinate with team members for case studies and testimonies; support multimedia content creation (graphics, short videos, infographics); support multilingual communications by translating and adapting materials between Arabic and English (and, when possible, French).</p><p><b>Design and brand consistency:</b>Create visual posts and infographics using graphic design tools; ensure all materials align with brand guidelines.</p><p><b>Administrative support:</b>Coordinate meetings and support the organization of public events; provide statistics for reporting purposes; support the dissemination of project communication materials.</p><h3>Requirements</h3><p>Demonstrated interest in<b>advancing human rights</b>in the MENA region.</p><p>University degree or diploma in communications, public relations, journalism, political science, international relations or a related field.</p><p>Relevant professional experience; ideally<b>in working in an NGO and/or on human rights issues.</b></p><p><b>Excellent English and Arabic writing</b>, editing and proofreading skills. Knowledge of French is a plus.</p><p>Excellent knowledge and use of all social media platforms, including Instagram, X, Facebook and LinkedIn.</p><p>Excellent graphic design skills, with proficiency in the use of design tools such as Canva. Short video-making and editing skills are desirable.</p><p>Highly organised with strong attention to detail, ability to meet multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>Positive, can-do attitude; proactive, flexible and enthusiastic team player.</p><p>Ability to handle confidential matters with professional discretion.</p><p>Fully remote position, with flexibility to work from any location.</p><p>Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in communications and digital advocacy on human rights issues in the MENA region.</p><p>Exposure to the work of an organization engaged in legal advocacy and human rights documentation.</p><p>Collaborative and mission-driven work environment.</p></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
