Commodity Options Broker

THE ROLEWe are expanding our team and have an exciting opportunity in our Dubai office, for a Commodity Options Broker with proven and demonstrable experience in Options market.Responsible for promoting FIS and arranging trades on behalf of clients, you will be dynamic and personable with a passion for the financial markets. You will be a natural networker, having a proactive approach to generating leads and securing new business. Ideal candidates will have experience in Commodity / Energy markets.Key responsibilities:Promote FIS as a company, providing market intelligence and analysis to clientsArrange trades via voice broking on and behalf of clients for execution at relevant exchangeMaintain and create relationships with other brokers when there is no liquidity from Liquidity ProvidersMaintain and enhance existing client relationships, making regular contact and tracking daily trading activitiesProactively solicit feedback from industry participants via trade calls, surveys, industry events, trade shows and conferencesIdentify and seize new business opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clientsProduce a daily/weekly update of market prices, market direction for international desksOn-board new clients following correct Compliance and Operations proceduresRegularly assess client needs and financial conditions to identify internal cross-selling opportunitiesPerform any other reasonable duties the company may requireRisk related responsibilitiesSupport a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with FIS company policiesEnsure full awareness of and adhere to internal policies that relate to the role or any relevant other activitiesTrainingSeek regular feedback from Desk Head to ensure role requirements are metComplete any mandatory training required by the company and required deadlinesMaintain own Continued Professional Development (CPD)RequirementsKey competencies / skillsPossess knowledge of Commodity / Energy markets; sound knowledge of derivatives as well as underlying markets and technical aspects of broking – preferredDemonstrate experience in an Options market (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities etc).Demonstrate experience as a broker covering commercial clients (financial markets)Deep understanding of price risk management - essentialStrong client focus; personable and engaging building relationships and networks wherever possible – essentialCommunicate effectively with clients and colleagues - essentialTenacious and thrives in a pressurised environment – essentialTeam orientated; works well with others and diverse groups/personnel – essentialExcellent attention to detail; strong analytical and numeracy skills – essentialExhibit professional and ethical conduct at all times, establishing and developing all business relationships (internal and external stakeholders) based on respect, integrity & dignityStrong IT Systems experience - essentialBenefitsOur rapidly growing business offers a dynamic environment for talented, entrepreneurial professionals to achieve results and grow their careers.Competitive salary and discretionary bonusLearning & Development / CPD opportunities25 days holidayFIS is an equal opportunity employer.
