Job TitleCommissioning Specialist Electrical M/FContract TypeFixed-term-contractContractual HoursFull timeContract Duration1 YearJob DescriptionBasic FunctionsThe basic function of the Commissioning Electrical Specialist is to ensure that all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical disciplines are prepared and executed according to OPERCOM® methodology in a safe manner and according to the planned schedule. This role is crucial for the smooth coordination of various project entities, including the Interface department, Integration team, and Project Services.Main AccountabilitiesThe main accountabilities of the position include prioritizing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) for all electrical personnel, coordinating and approving quality and completeness of deliverables, assisting Commissioning Unit leaders in witnessing and monitoring pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, and reviewing pre-commissioning dossiers and attached preliminary checks. The specialist is also responsible for supervising the management and operation of switchgears and switchboards manipulations performed by EPCC Contractors after energization of high voltage networks within the electrical substation for commissioning tests together with the Proponent Electrical team.Package 4 Commissioning Electrical Specialist (SS21 and SS22)Experience in OPERCOM ™ and ICAPS© applicationAt least 10 years of experience in Oil&Gas industry, including ~5 years of Pre-commissioning and CommissioningExperience in energization and testing of HV and LV switchgears; DC and AC UPS; Batteries; Oil filled / dry type TransformersKnowledge of electrical safety protocols, Permit to Work system; Electrical Lock-out / Tag-out.Responsible for supervision of Electrical Commissioning activities in SS22 and SS21 including HV 34.5 kV; and LV 480V Switchgears testing, including CT's and VT's; Protection relays setting; Primary and secondary injection; Hipot test; ductor tests; UPS batteries charge / discharge testsProfileQualificationsThe qualifications required for this position include an engineer level education or above, high knowledge of electrical activities within oil and gas units, especially high voltage (240 kV), and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position of electrical commissioning engineer for high voltage systems. Specific skills such as knowledge of EPCC contract management, OPERCOM®, and ICAPS© are a plus.
