We have one of the largest dedicated team with decades of cumulative experience in sustainable design, fire and life safety, cost management, façade engineering, commissioning, building performance, waste management, environmental consultancy, carbon management and acoustics.Job PurposeAs part of a multi-discipline project team representing AESG, conduct site inspections and verify the tested results are correct.Develop knowledge about commissioning processes and test procedures in engineering discipline and demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn.Qualification / ExperienceMEP / Building Services Engineering DegreeBSc Mechanical EngineeringBSc Electrical EngineeringBSc Building Services EngineeringMEP / Building Services Engineering College DiplomaHNC, HND or equivalentMEP / Building Services Engineering College CertificateONC, OND or equivalentMEP Trade Time Served + City & Guilds CertificateMinimum 2 years of job-related experience + Engineering DegreeMinimum 3 years of job-related experience + College DiplomaMinimum 4 years of job-related experience + College or Trade CertificateIndustry AccreditationsIncorporated Engineer, desirable but not essentialCSA Grade 3 qualified, desirable but not essentialCommissioning certification such as BCA, ACG or NEBB, desirable but not essentialGeneral ExpectancyModerate experience and proficiency in multiple competencies.Capable of handling tasks with supervision.ResponsibilitiesAssist senior personnel in carrying out commissioning activitiesDevelop knowledge in chosen discipline and how different systems interact in buildingsConduct site inspections in selected disciplineAssess whether test procedures and recorded results demonstrate compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practiceAssist with reviewing project documentation for compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practiceReport issues found to senior team members in a clear, accurate and concise mannerLiaise with contractors commissioning team in professional mannerCarry out site observations with respect to quality of installationMonitor installation, submittals and use of engineering tools adhering to project and commissioning guidelinesAssisting with tracking completion of tasks and preparing lookahead documentsKeep daily diary of events and activities under your control, including systems inspected, documents reviewed, and any decision made by authorities on siteCompetenciesLeadership / Management SkillsAs individuals gain experience and expertise, they may move into supervisory positions incorporating management or supervision of tasks or small projects.
