This vision is supported by the Al Rayana Learner and Teacher DNA which is at the heart of the school community.This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family of schools and to help shape the future of Abu Dhabi’s leading school group.The successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.ResponsibilitiesProvide support for individual pupils / groups of pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in a range of activities during the school day and to provide for their social, emotional and physical well-being.Be pro-active in matters relating to health and safetyAssist in the implementation of individual education programmes for individual pupils / groups of pupils and help monitor their progressSupport pupils with additional support needs e.g. emotional and behavioural difficulties and help to develop their social skillsAssist class teachers with maintaining pupil recordsPrepare and present displays of pupils’ workSupport class teachers in photocopying and other tasks in order to support teachingSupport the aims of the school; comply with the requirements of health and safety, other relevant legislation and school policiesSet a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendanceAttend team and staff meetings as requiredWork with other professionals e.g. speech therapists, occupational therapists etc. as necessaryUndertake other duties from time to time as the principal requiresQualificationsAcademic assistanceGiving group instruction as prescribed by the teacher/providing individual instructionDemonstrating various instructional activitiesMonitoring work assigned by teacher – checking and correcting pupils’ work while in progressKeeping pupils on taskPraising and reinforcing achievements of pupils/reporting pupil progress to teacherReorganising materials at the end of the dayChecking attendanceSupervising pupils in the classrooms and other locationsParticipating in development of behaviour policy/promoting pupils self esteemDisciplining misbehaviour in line with the whole school policy#J-18808-Ljbffr
