Civil Technical Support Engineer – HV & EHV Substation and OHTL ProjectsOrganization: Nesma Infrastructure and Technology (NIT)Department: Engineering / OperationLocation: Saudi ArabiaGrade: C1Reports To: Civil Technical Support EngineerPosition OverviewThe Civil Technical Support Engineer provides technical expertise and support for HV and EHV substation and OHTL projects. The role ensures that design intent is maintained, compliance with standards is achieved, and civil works are fully integrated with electrical and mechanical systems. It requires close coordination with clients, project teams, and site personnel, along with proactive management of design activities and on-site supervision to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and manage the design submission schedule and coordinate with designers to ensure timely deliverablesFollow up with site teams to align design priorities with ongoing construction activitiesReview civil and architectural submittals for compliance with PTS, codes, constructability, and cost implicationsEnsure all required submittals are submitted through coordination with project teamsObtain necessary inputs from electrical, mechanical, and project teams to avoid design delaysApply value engineering principles to optimize design efficiency and costCoordinate with the Estimation team to ensure alignment between drawings and BOQEnsure integration between civil, electrical, and mechanical designsVerify compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standardsProvide technical support to construction teams during executionMaintain proper documentation of design submissions, revisions, and approvalsReview SEC comments and ensure all required actions are addressedCoordinate with consultants (SEC) to clarify comments and expedite approvalsTrack design changes and ensure updates are reflected in drawings and communicated to site teamsDevelop and maintain a Design Issue Log to track challenges and solutionsMonitor design progress and identify potential risksResolve design-related issues with contractors, consultants, and stakeholdersSupport preparation of RFIs and technical clarificationsAssist in maintaining project schedules for timely design deliveryConduct site visits to verify implementation and resolve issuesParticipate in technical meetings, design reviews, and inspectionsMentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the teamRequired Skills and QualificationsFunctional Skills & KnowledgeStrong knowledge of civil and structural design for substations and OHTL projectsProficiency in design software: AutoCAD, STAAD, ETABS, Civil 3D, Revit, Google EarthGood understanding of Saudi codes, standards, and regulationsStrong technical writing and communication skills in EnglishManagerial SkillsAbility to plan, prioritize, and manage design schedulesCapability to lead and coordinate small engineering teamsStrong decision-making and problem-solving skillsEffective resource and task managementInterpersonal SkillsStrong communication and coordination abilitiesAbility to work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholdersCapability to handle pressure and manage multiple prioritiesStrong teamwork and collaboration mindsetHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityProactive and solution-oriented approachPersonal AttributesStrong ownership and accountabilityResults-driven mindsetHigh integrity and professionalismAdaptability and resilienceContinuous improvement attitudeStrong attention to detail and qualityQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum 8 years of experience in civil and structural design for HV and EHV substationsExperience in multidisciplinary coordination and site support is preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
