OverviewWe\'re Hiring: Chief Geologist — Location: Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia | Full-time | Exploration & GeosciencesScope of the RoleAs the Chief Geologist, you will plan, execute, and oversee exploration programs across several camp-scale and/or regional projects. You\'ll supervise a multidisciplinary team of geologists, contractors, and support staff, ensuring all activities meet the highest standards of safety, data quality, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance. You\'ll be instrumental in generating and refining geological models, designing drill programs, and driving project discovery through innovative thinking and sound geological interpretation.Core Competencies & SkillsDeep knowledge of regional and global geology, mineral systems, and ore body settingsDemonstrated experience with multiple commodities and geological terrains (ideally with Archean crust)Strong field geology expertise – mapping, sampling, and drill loggingAbility to conceptualize, design, and refine exploration models and programsSkilled in predictive interpretation, 3D spatial analysis, and anomaly integrationProficiency in geoscience software, data management, QA/QC systemsLeadership & Management ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise exploration teams (field geologists, drill teams, and contractors)Set and monitor project goals, timelines, budgets, and performance metricsProvide coaching, mentoring, and professional development to junior staffEnsure safety, environmental, and community standards are upheld across all exploration activitiesCollaborate with external consultants and advisors to enhance technical outcomesPrepare technical reports, project updates, and exploration proposalsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and manage regional exploration programs (geochemistry, mapping, drilling)Conduct and oversee geological modeling and target generationImplement QA/QC protocols and ensure rigorous data collection and documentationIntegrate geochemical, geophysical, and drilling data into cohesive geological interpretationsTrack and report project progress, budgets, and KPIsPrepare technical presentations, proposals, and exploration reportsQualifications & ExperienceBSc and MSc in Geosciences or related field+10 years in mineral exploration (preferably across greenfield/generative projects)Multi-commodity exploration background with a proven track record of discovery or resource definitionStrong project management, communication, and reporting skillsFluent in English (written and spoken)High standards in safety, ethics, and environmental regulationsWhy Join Us?Lead impactful exploration projects across exciting geological terrainsBe part of a safety-first, forward-thinking exploration teamCompetitive compensation and opportunities for growthWork on projects that could shape the future of mineral discoveryDarkstone Arabia Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer.
