<div><p>Looking for a<b>ChemicalEngineers</b>with minimum<b>5 years’</b>Operation and Maintenance experience for WastewaterTreatment plantsprimarilyresponsible for managing the biological and chemical processes that transform raw sewage into compliant effluent.</p><h3>Core Responsibilities</h3><ul><li><b>Process Monitoring&Control:</b>Oversee real-time plant performance through SCADA systems, adjusting parameters like flow rates, dissolved oxygen (DO), and mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) tomaintainstable treatment conditions.</li><li><b>Chemical Dosage Optimization:</b>Regulate the dosing of treatment chemicals (e.g., alum, chlorine, or polymers) based on varying influent quality to ensure effective coagulation, flocculation, and disinfection.</li><li><b>Laboratory Activities:</b>Perform Laboratory analysisfor influent and effluent samples for various parameters not limited to BOD, COD, TSS,pH etc. and handle andmaintain/ calibrate laboratoryequiments/ instruments.</li><li><b>Water Quality Compliance:</b>Review laboratory analysis results (e.g.,TSS,BOD, COD, nitrogen,Ammonia, phosphorusetc) and take immediate corrective actions to ensure treated water meets stringent environmental discharge limits.</li><li><b>Maintenance Support:</b>To be able toensure all chemical unit processes—including pH control, coagulation,Polymers dosingand disinfection—areoptimizedfor safety and efficiency.</li><li><b>Preventive&Predictive Maintenance:</b>Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to schedule preventive maintenance for dosing pumps, chemical storage systems, and specialized treatment units likeDisc filters (Chemical Cleaning).</li><li><b>Reporting&Documentation:</b>maintain detailed operational logs, preparedaily,weeklyandmonthly performance reports, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)for chemical handling and process control.Adopt and follow company protocols and procedures in reporting matrix.</li></ul><h3>Key Technical Areas</h3><ul><li><b>Advanced Treatment Technologies:</b>Operatingand troubleshooting modern systems like Ultrafiltration (UF), Reverse Osmosis (RO), and Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP).</li><li><b>Sustainability&Energy:</b>suggestinginitiatives to reduce the plant's energy footprint and chemical consumption throughanalysis ofdatacollected.</li></ul><h3>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)</h3><ul><li>Overall plant compliance with regulatory discharge norms.</li><li>Reduction in treatment cost perunitvolume of wastewater.</li><li>Optimization of chemical and energy consumption.</li><li>Number and effectiveness of process improvement initiatives.</li><li>Plant availability and reliability (% uptime).</li><li>Audit performance and closure of non-conformities.</li><li>Team productivity, training effectiveness, and operator competency.</li><li>Incident reduction and safety performance metrics.</li><li>Safety Performance (Zero LTI, Audit Scores)</li></ul><h3>Reporting Structure</h3><ul><li>Reports to:Plant Manager / Operations Manager</li><li>Works closely with: Maintenance, Laboratory, HSE, Utilities, and Production teams.</li><li>Coordinates withCompany Management, external agencies, vendors, and regulatory authorities asrequired.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications&Skills</h3><ul><li><b>Education:</b>Abachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.</li><li><b>Technical Skills:</b>Proficiencyin process simulation tools (e.g.,BioWin, GPS-X,SUMO), data analytics, and SCADA/PLC interfaces.</li><li><b>Safety&Compliance:</b>Deep understanding of Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and hazardous chemical storage regulations.</li></ul><p>The role is highly active, involving daily plant inspections, laboratory coordination, and field troubleshooting in potentially hazardous environments.</p></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
