Buyer - Technical Procurement

Role PurposeEnsure timely, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective supply of aircraft materials and technical services to enable on-time maintenance and operational excellence at Etihad Engineering. This role balances operational responsiveness with commercial rigor, strengthens supplier performance, and delivers continuous improvement in cost, lead time, and service reliability across planned and AOG demandKey ResponsibilitiesExecute procurement of aircraft parts and services in line with material planning, operational priorities, and supply chain KPIsSource from OEMs, distributors, and approved suppliers, ensuring full compliance with airworthiness, quality, and certification requirementsManage AOG and critical demand to minimize operational disruptionLead commercial activities for non-contracted spend, including RFQs, tenders, bid evaluation, and supplier negotiationsDrive cost optimization through price analysis and negotiation of pricing, commercial terms, warranties, rebates, and lead timesMonitor and improve supplier performance across lead time, TAT, quality, and service reliabilityProactively manage open and overdue orders to ensure on-time delivery and operational continuityOwn end-to-end resolution of receipt discrepancies (SDRs) and invoice queries to meet supply chain service targetsMaintain accurate order status, documentation, and audit trails to ensure transparency for planning and operationsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Aviation, Supply Chain, or related technical field, 5+ years’ aviation procurement experience (Airline/MRO preferred)Strong working knowledge of MRO systems (e.g., AMOS, CMRO), advanced Excel capability, Power BI a plusSolid understanding of aircraft technical documentation (AMM, IPC, CMM, MPD, RSPLs)Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindsetClear, structured communicator, effective cross-functional collaborator, detail-oriented and results-driven#J-18808-Ljbffr
