To achieve this, our 7,500 Switchers combine their historical engineering expertise and project management with digital technologies.In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.The Business Development OR Proposal Specialist will support and execute business development activities for the Siting & Environmental Services portfolio, with a primary focus on Saudi Arabia. The role involves identifying opportunities, supporting bids, managing client relationships, and contributing to growth initiatives aligned with Assystem’s strategic objectives.Job-Specific & Generic SkillsSolid understanding of engineering consultancy and environmental servicesGood knowledge of Saudi Arabian marketsExperience in bid preparation, tender submissions, and client presentationsStrong relationship management and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with technical and project teamsCommercial awareness with the ability to identify and support growth opportunitiesStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneouslyKey Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesBusiness Development & Opportunity SupportSupport the development and execution of business development plans for the Siting & Environmental Services portfolioIdentify, track, and qualify new business opportunities with clients, authorities, and developersAssist in managing the full bid lifecycle, including expressions of interest, proposals, and negotiationsCoordinate with technical teams to ensure client requirements are well understood and addressedClient & Stakeholder EngagementSupport the BU Director in building and maintaining client relationshipsAct as a point of contact for assigned clients and opportunitiesParticipate in client meetings, presentations, and workshopsRepresent Assystem professionally at industry events and networking forumsMonitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developmentsProvide inputs to support market positioning and service developmentMaintain an updated opportunity pipeline and market intelligence databaseCollaboration & Internal CoordinationWork closely with engineering, environmental, and project teams to support proposals and client engagementsContribute to the preparation of high-quality bids and presentationsSupport knowledge sharing and best practices across the business unitMinimum Required QualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geosciences, Environmental Engineering, or a related fieldMaster’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering is an advantageExperience8–12 years of experience in business development, commercial, Tendering or Proposals within engineering, environmental, or consultancy sectorsDemonstrated experience supporting or leading bids, proposals, and client engagements in the KSA marketExposure to Saudi Vision 2030 projects is a strong advantageCommunications & Presentation SkillsQuality ConsciousnessAttention to DetailsProblem Solving & Decision MakingResults OrientationPlanning and organizing with time managementRelationship ManagementWe are committed to equal treatment of candidates and promote, as well as foster all forms of diversity within our company.
