This role is essential to ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability of AWS platforms while supporting modern CI/CD and container orchestration workflows.Detailed Job DescriptionAs an AWS Cloud & DevOps SRE Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining robust AWS cloud environments using modern IaC methodologies such as Terraform and CloudFormation. You will oversee container orchestration with EKS and OpenShift, support cloud-native deployments using Docker and Podman, and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines in GitLab. The role involves incident response, performance monitoring, security implementation, and close collaboration with development teams to ensure seamless application delivery. You will play a key role in improving automation, enhancing infrastructure resilience, and enforcing cloud and container security best practices across enterprise operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage, operate, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for high availability and resilience.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.Administer and optimize EKS and OpenShift clusters for container orchestration.Create and manage containerized applications using Docker and Podman.Monitor infrastructure using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and other observability tools.Automate CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using GitLab CI/CD.Collaborate with development and operations teams on scalable cloud-native deployments.Implement cloud and container security best practices aligned with industry standards.Participate in on-call rotations and support incident response to maintain uptime.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.5–7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps/SRE roles.Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, EKS, etc.).Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.Practical experience with EKS and OpenShift clusters.Strong expertise with Docker and Podman containerization.Hands‑on experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps workflows.Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go).Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.Excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities.Nice‑to‑Have SkillsAWS certifications such as SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or Solutions Architect.Deep experience with GitLab pipelines, deployments, and security workflows.Knowledge of compliance/security frameworks: CIS, NIST, ISO 27001.Recruitment Pro TipHighlight your experience with IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), EKS/OpenShift operations, and GitLab CI/CD automation—these are the core differentiators that employers prioritize when shortlisting DevOps SRE profiles in AWS‑focused enterprise environments.#J-18808-Ljbffr
