OverviewJoin to apply for the Associate Professor/Professor in Economics role at United Arab Emirates University, Department of Family Medicine.UAEU invites applications for a faculty position (Associate/Full Professor) in Economics within the College of Business and Economics (CBE).ResponsibilitiesA strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels.A demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in their area of expertise, leading to publications in refereed journals.Actively promote the growth of the Economics program and the College of Business and Economics (CBE) at UAEU through outreach to students, and collaborations with public and private sector partners.Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and/or dissertations.Participate in committees at the departmental, college, and university levels as assigned.Provide consultancy to researchers and the business community.Engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration in research, teaching and program development where appropriate.QualificationsA Ph.D. in Economics from an internationally recognized university and AACSB-accredited school.A research record in Economics with demonstrated ability to publish in leading international journals.Strong commitment to excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and outcome assessment.Experience in teaching Economics courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.Open to cross-disciplinary collaboration in research, teaching, and program development.Ability to communicate effectively in English; excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible, versatile team player.How to ApplyThe application package should include (1) a cover letter, (2) a detailed resume, (3) names of at least three references with contact information, (4) research statement, (5) teaching statement that includes a list of courses taught, and (6) sample of students’ teaching evaluations from recent semesters.
