Associate/Full Professor of English LiteratureJob PurposeThe Department of Foreign Languages at the University of Sharjah invites applications for a full-time Associate / Full Professor of English Literature with significant experience teaching and supervision at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels to commence appointment in the Fall semester of the Academic Year 2026/2027.A high level of published research is essential and a specialism in one or more of the following areas is an advantage: Creative Writing, Modern American Literature, World Literature.ResponsibilitiesTeach effectively at all levels of the curriculum at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.Engage in research activities and lead initiatives that result in publications in high-ranking, referred scholarly journals.Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, fostering their professional and personal development.Oversee research supervision of postgraduate students research projects and theses, ensuring quality and rigor in their scholarly work.Perform assigned administrative responsibilities as delegated by the department and the college.QualificationsPhD in English Literature with specialization in one or more of the following areas of research and teaching:Creative WritingModern American LiteratureWorld Literature#J-18808-Ljbffr
