Assistant Professor of Supply Chain ManagementBe the First to ApplyJob DescriptionThe University of Kalba invites applications for a qualified and motivated Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management in the College of Business Administration. We seek candidates holding a PhD in Supply Chain Management or a closely related field. While applications from academics with diverse backgrounds in Supply Chain Management (SCM) are welcome, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise and/or teaching interests in logistics and distribution, supply chain analytics, supply chain planning & operation, and quality & process management.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in supply chain management, logistics, and operations using effective and student-focused pedagogical approaches.Contribute to the review, development, and enhancement of the supply chain management curriculum, ensuring alignment with contemporary academic standards and industry best practices.Conduct, publish, and disseminate high-quality scholarly research in the candidate’s area of specialization.Apply and demonstrate sound knowledge of research methodologies and analytical tools in both teaching and scholarly activities.Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research initiatives and pursue external research funding where appropriate.Participate in academic advising, student mentoring, and supervision of research projects.Represent the University of Kalba in national and international conferences, academic forums, and professional associations related to supply chain and operations management.Foster engagement with industry and logistics partners to support student internships, applied projects, and professional development opportunities.Contribute to college and university service, including committee work, academic advising, and governance activities.Engage in outreach initiatives that support the university’s mission and enhance its economic and societal impact.Stay informed of developments in supply chain management, logistics, and operations, integrating emerging research and industry practices into teaching and curriculum design.QualificationsA PhD in Supply Chain Managementor a closely related field from an accredited institution.A strong and ongoing research and publication record in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals.Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including analytical and data-driven approaches relevant to SCM.At least three years of teaching experience at the Assistant Professor level or in an equivalent academic role.Proven ability to implement innovative, student-centered, and technology-enhanced teaching practices.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.Clear commitment to professional development and staying current with developments in supply chain and operations management.Proficiency in both Arabic and English (required).Job InfoJob Identification 100166Job Category Academic JobsPosting Date 01/19/2026, 07:22 AMJob Schedule Full timeLocations University of Kalba - Kalba - Sharjah#J-18808-Ljbffr
