Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

Job OverviewUnited Arab Emirates University invites applications for a faculty position in the fields of Political Science, Comparative Politics, International Political Economy, and International Relations at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.ResponsibilitiesTeach undergraduate and graduate courses in the chosen discipline.Supervise master’s theses and guide graduate students’ research.Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals.Develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program.Contribute to department development and serve the university and the broader UAE community.Minimum QualificationsPh.D. in Political Science or a related field from an accredited, reputable university.Strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels.Demonstrable research capability that enables the development of a funded research program.Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic and English is preferred.Ability to teach undergraduate courses is a must.Academic administrative and professional experience is a plus.Preferred QualificationsStrong, continuous record of publishing research in Scopus‑indexed journals with a high h‑index and citation index.Experience teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses and supervising graduate students’ research and theses.Expertise in program development, curriculum design, and development with a high‑quality service record on department, college, university, and community.Excellent command of writing, reading and speaking in the English language (preferably proficient in both Arabic & English).Application InstructionsApplicants should upload the following documents: CV, cover letter, concise statement of motivation (no more than 750 words specifying research interests), two samples of written and/or published work, two additional samples of research written in English, and names of two academic references.Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed; however, the appointment is a multi‑level process and the candidate must pass all levels successfully.Closing date: before the closing date.
