Job Description

The project comprises mixed-use buildings, educational academies, a traditional Najdi-style mosque, a digital art museum, and a signature mud-brick cinema supported by underground parking. It blends authentic cultural architecture with modern functionality and sustainability, creating a unique and immersive environment.Job Summary:The Architectural & Fit-Out Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all Architectural and Fit-Out works on site, working closely with the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) team of over 80 site professionals.The role ensures that all architectural and fit-out works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract documents, applicable building codes, and safety regulations while maintaining the required quality standards and project timelines.Key Responsibilities:Inspect temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with contract documents, approved shop drawings, specifications, and project requirements.Conduct thorough site inspections for architectural and fit-out works including finishes, fixtures, furniture, equipment (FF&E), and building components.Verify that materials, finishes, fixtures, and equipment comply with approved samples, specifications, and quality standards.Perform and/or evaluate tests to confirm quality requirements for architectural finishes and fit-out installations.Monitor site activities to ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, building codes, and safety regulations.Review and interpret architectural drawings, fit-out drawings, specifications, and related technical documentation.Perform quality control inspections on workmanship, installed materials, and completed works.Review materials delivered to site and verify compliance with approved material submittals and samples prior to installation.Assist in the review of shop drawings and material submittals related to architectural and fit-out works.Identify, document, and report discrepancies, defects, or deviations from approved drawings or specifications and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.Monitor site safety practices and ensure safe execution of architectural and fit-out installation works.Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and quality-related issues.Prepare daily inspection reports, site logs, and progress updates.Assist in final inspections of completed works and support the preparation of snag lists and punch lists.Monitor testing, commissioning, and handover of architectural and fit-out works to ensure compliance with project requirements.Key Qualifications:Educational Background:Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.Professional Experience:Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Architectural and Fit-Out inspection on projects of similar scope.Minimum 5 years of experience within the GCC region.Previous experience with a Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) is considered an advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience with various types of buildings including high-rise, residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projects.Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment.Strong knowledge of interior finishes, materials, joinery, lighting coordination, and sustainable design practices. Proficient in reviewing drawings and shop drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and common project management platforms. Familiarity with LEED guidelines and construction supervision processes is essential.Excellent communication skills in English, analytical thinking, and site coordination abilities. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
