Architect

Plans, designs, and directs civil engineering on manufacturing/plant projects.Primary responsibility is to Prepare preliminary design studies, prepare architectural development design including electrical and plumbing layouts.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Conceptualize Preliminary architectural design and do the final drawing by AutoCAD or MicroStation.Considering appearance, functionality, safety, cost and the needs of those who use the structures they're designing.Involving in all phases of development, from the initial discussions with clients through the construction process.Providing various pre-design services, such as conducting feasibility and environmental impact studies, selecting a site or specifying the design's requirements.Edit the minutes of meeting with the clientIssuing material Take off (MTO) and Bill of quantity (BOQ).Preparation of plumbing and electrical layoutManual perspective rendering presentation using the 3D modeling.Coordinating meeting with other design trades.Preparing a draft copy of correspondence letter and technical memos.Site actual inspection during actual construction concerning other trades to avoid conflict on other technical aspectsIf required, do Interior and landscape design.Design modification (minor parts only)Assisting with design workCoordinating/ Checking on Interferences between Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC and Fire Fighting: On-site SupportDistribution/ Management of drawing and document : Checking on and seeking to ensure effective process (with client and Design Team)Researches, plans, designs, and administers building projectsConsults with client to determine functional and spatial requirements ofnew structure or renovation, and prepares information regarding design,specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, andconstruction time.Plans layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unifieddesign for client review and approval.Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors.Administers construction contracts and conducts periodic on-siteobservation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.Directs activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings andspecification documents.Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, AutoCad reports/prints, tests, andphotographsAnalyse, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projecSkills :Autocad 2D and 3DDesigning and Lay outingArchitects must be able to visually communicate their ideas to clients.Artistic and drawing ability is very helpful in doing this. The ability to conceptualize and understand spatial relationships is needed.Good communication skills are critical to success in this field.An architect must be an active listener when dealing with clients.An architect must be able to work independently or as part of a team.Microsoft Office LiterateKnowledge of Micro station and GIS software an advantage. Strong Adobe Photoshop and Sketch Up Skills required. Microsoft Office required including Powerpoint. Strong inter-personal and organising skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
