Date: 3 Feb 2026Location: Sharjah, AECompany: University Hospital SharjahPosition SummaryThe Application Analyst is responsible to support, configure, and maintain Laboratory Information Systems and Hospital Information system. The resource will have strong hands‑on experience with HIS/LIS platforms, laboratory analyser integrations, and healthcare interoperability standards. This role works closely with laboratory staff, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless system functionality and reliable data exchange.Summary of Main DutiesConfigure, support, train and maintain the HIS and LIS to meet operational and clinical requirementsManage and support laboratory analyser integrations using HL7, FHIR, and ASTM protocolsTroubleshoot interface, data flow, and system performance issuesCollaborate with users to gather requirements and provide application support and trainingCoordinate with vendors and third‑party interface teams for system enhancements and issue resolutionParticipate in system upgrades, testing, validation, and deploymentsEnsure data integrity, system security, and compliance with healthcare standards and policiesPrepare technical documentation, interface specifications, and user guidesProvide on‑call or extended support as required for critical laboratory operationsSoft SkillsStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsStrong coordination with cross‑functional teamsPosition Requirements/QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience working with Hospital Information and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)Strong experience with laboratory analyser integrationsHands‑on knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and ASTM messaging standardsSolid understanding of laboratory workflows and diagnostic processesAbility to analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issuesStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with TrakCare Lab EnterprisePrior experience in hospital or clinical laboratory environmentsKnowledge of database systems and SQLPosition Criteria Other Skills/AbilitiesMinimum 5 years of experience working with Hospital Information and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)Hands‑on knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and ASTM messaging standards#J-18808-Ljbffr
