OverviewJob Purpose: Providing emergency services to patients in a safe manner, transporting them to hospitals, ensuring activities and preparations, transporting non-emergency cases, responding to critical incidents, sorting and transporting them to hospitals, documenting all these cases, recording reports related to the paramedics’ jurisdiction, response time, and performance indicators, in addition to the distribution of ambulance staff based on geographical regions according to the approved productivity indicators and basic proof points.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for achieving medical quality and patient safety.Understands and applies medical policies.Understands and applies medical protocol.Fights infection controlUnderstands how to safely deal with persons in distress and protect the public from further harm.Understands how to keep the victim calm and control overwhelming emotions when needed.Understands how to provide emotional support and practical assistance.Realizes how to evaluate the situation in situations of emotional and psychological support.The primary and secondary assessment of the injured is carried out in the field.Evaluates the general medical condition of the patient/injured personHandles all critical, life-threatening injury cases and clinical evaluationDeals with all critical medical casesProvides parenteral nutrition through intravenous (IV) or bone (IO) needlesDeals with childbirth cases and the use of an incubatorDeals with all cases of children’s injuriesHe deals with all medical cases of childrenHe performs advanced ECG and analyses it.Uses basic and advanced tools to open the airway and Advanced Airway ManagementProvides basic and advanced first aid for cases of cardiac arrestActively participates in the professional development of self and others.Acts as a mentor to new employees.Participates in quality improvement programs within the clinical care framework.Participates in strategic planning and goal setting for the clinical setting.Participates in developing the system for evaluating paramedics’ performance.Contribute to developing policies and procedures related to medical equipment and supplies for the Ambulance Department.Achieves optimal distribution of medical staff according to shifts and geographical regions.Submitting special performance reports in the ambulance periodically.Required Professional CertificatesValid BLS, ACLS & PALS Certificate & a Trauma Certificate (PHTLS or ITLS).Minimum years of ExperienceTwo (2) years of experience post qualification as Advanced Care Paramedic.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Paramedicine / Emergency Medical Services (minimum of three years course durations)#J-18808-Ljbffr
