Accounts Payable Supervisor

OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our finance team in Ras Al-Khaimah United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will oversee the accounts payable function ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices payments and financial records while leading a team of accounting professionals.ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise the accounts payable team providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performanceOversee the full cycle of accounts payable processes including invoice processing payment approvals and vendor managementEnsure the validity and accuracy of all invoices their appropriate allocation and timely paymentsCommunicate with department heads purchasing department and suppliers to resolve discrepancies and answer queriesVerify the accuracy of invoices being posted and ensure correct account allocationReview and approve all issued checks before submitting them for final signatureMaintain proper documentation and filing systems for all creditor accounts and transactionsImplement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies and proceduresPrepare and analyze accounts payable reports identifying trends and making recommendations for process improvementsCollaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing processesStay updated on UAE accounting regulations and best practices implementing changes as necessaryQualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleStrong knowledge of accounting principles practices and regulations including UAE accounting standardsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite particularly ExcelExperience with accounting software and ERP systemsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyOutstanding organizational and time management abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated leadership and team management capabilitiesAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentFluency in English (verbal and written) is essential; knowledge of Arabic is a plusFamiliarity with international accounting standardsKnowledge of UAE accounting regulations and tax lawsReady and willing to relocate to Ras Al KhaimahAdditional InformationPlease be advised that all qualifications will be subject to rigorous verification.
