<div><p><b>Accounts Payable Accountant | Reef Group</b></p><h3>Position Title:</h3><p>Accounts Payable Accountant</p><h3>Job Type:</h3><p>Full-Time</p><h3>About the Role:</h3><p>Reef Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized<b>Accounts Payable Accountant</b>to manage and process all company payments related to vendors and operational expenses. This role ensures accurate payment processing through proper review of supporting documents, preparation of payment orders, and recording in the financial system, in compliance with company policies and to enhance the efficiency of the payment cycle.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Receive invoices and supporting documents from vendors and internal departments, review them for accuracy and completeness according to approved policies.</li><li>Verify that invoices match purchase orders, contracts, and approved payment terms before processing.</li><li>Prepare payment orders and ensure proper authorization according to company policies.</li><li>Record all payment transactions accurately and timely in the ERP system, ensuring data integrity.</li><li>Monitor vendor balances regularly, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.</li><li>Review operational expenses, ensure proper accounting classification, and link to cost centers.</li><li>Coordinate with the Treasury department to check cash availability and schedule payments based on priorities.</li><li>Prepare periodic reports on executed payments, outstanding payments, and accounts payable status.</li><li>Support month-end closing by preparing payment schedules and supporting entries.</li><li>Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.</li><li>Adhere to internal controls to prevent duplicate or erroneous payments.</li><li>Support process improvement initiatives in accounts payable to enhance payment cycle efficiency.</li><li>Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documents and reports.</li><li>Perform any other accounting tasks related to accounts payable as assigned by the direct manager.</li></ul><h3>Required Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.</li><li>0–2 years of experience in accounts payable or financial operations.</li><li>Accurate recording of payments and financial transactions.</li><li>Vendor account reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.</li><li>Reporting and monitoring accounts payable.</li><li>Knowledge of internal controls and compliance with policies.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.</li><li>Effective communication with vendors and internal teams.</li></ul><h3>Training&Development (Optional):</h3><ul><li>Courses in Accounts Payable Management.</li><li>Advanced Excel for reporting.</li><li>Training in financial process auditing and account reconciliation.</li></ul><h3>Why Join Reef Group?</h3><p>Join Reef Group to be part of a growing and dynamic company in the retail sector.
