Accountant – Gold RefineryLocation: Dubai (3–6 months) → West Africa (Permanent Placement)Industry: Precious Metals / Refinery OperationsJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong background in financial management, auditing, and compliance within the industrial or precious metals sector. The ideal candidate will have solid experience managing client portfolios, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to international accounting and tax standards.This role will begin in Dubai, with a planned relocation to West Africa, where the candidate will oversee financial operations and maintain compliance with both local and international financial regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records and manage a portfolio of client accountsConduct thorough financial statement audits, identifying risk areas and improvement opportunitiesAnalyse internal controls, audit processes, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliancePrepare and file VAT returns in line with UAE regulationsDesign and execute audit work plans, particularly for high‑risk areas such as gold loan operationsAudit financial transactions, shipments, and operational activitiesPrepare comprehensive audit reports with clear findings and actionable recommendationsPresent audit results to senior management and clients with clarity and professionalismMonitor regulatory updates and ensure full compliance with internal policies and external lawsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and risk mitigationCollaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize audit procedures and methodologiesDevelop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring open communication and understanding of client needsRemain up-to-date and knowledgeable about international compliance policies, tax laws, and audit standardsRequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial managementIn‑depth knowledge of UAE and international tax laws, accounting standards, and compliance regulationsPrior experience auditing precious metals or high‑risk financial operations is a strong advantageExcellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet tight deadlinesProficiency in speaking and writing in French is a plusWillingness to relocate to West AfricaBenefitsEmployment visa providedComprehensive health insurance coverageAnnual return air ticket to home countryCompetitive salary with performance‑based incentives and bonuses#J-18808-Ljbffr
